While deployed in Afghanistan, Kristian picked up a small coffee roaster to pass the quiet hours. What began as a simple hobby quickly grew into something more, drawing in fellow Marines and contractors with the aroma of fresh coffee, and creating moments of comfort, camaraderie, and normalcy in the middle of a combat zone.

Pappy Boyington Field documentary was written and produced by Kevin Gonzalez a Recon Marine and FRA member. Pappy Boyington Field documentary and historical platform centered on the life and legacy of Marine Corps fighter ace Gregory “Pappy” Boyington. The project follows the real-world effort to rename the Coeur d’Alene airport in his honor, highlighting the challenges, community response, and deeper conversation around how we recognize those who served.
At its core, it’s about legacy, preserving the stories of warriors and ensuring their impact continues to be seen, heard, and remembered.
