My name is Andrew Kelly and I am a Clarkstown Police Officer (NY) and former
US Marine (Recon).  Recently, I learned about a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of our severely wounded men and women returning home from War.  

The Wounded Warrior Project ( www.woundedwarriorproject.org ) was established in 2003 by a wounded Veteran and has continued to grow, thanks in large to the generosity of the public.

The purpose of the project is the thorough and ongoing rehabilitation of our severely wounded Veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.  The outpouring of support has helped our heroes to better assimilate back into society, and more importantly, has given them hope for their future. The care starts at the bedside and continues for the duration of their life. They have given so much of themselves and ask for so little in return.

My pledge to our heroes! 

On July 19-20, 2008 I will be running in the Vermont 100 in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the WWP.  The 24hr race is a 100 MILE trail run through the Green Mnts. of VT.

I am a two time Ironman Triathlete, multiple marathons and ultramarathons.
