SgtMaj. Robert F. Snyder, USMC(Ret), FRA Member 569, passed away at his home in Allen, Texas on Sunday, November 8, 2015. SgtMaj. Snyder's military service reflects a distinguished career in Marine infantry units and in both 1st Force and 5th Force Reconnaissance Companies. Upon his retirement, he served as a security executive in the Dallas/Fort Worth business community. Many of us who were privileged to serve with SgtMaj. Snyder during Vietnam remember him as an outstanding leader and instructor whose direction and insights helped many of us do our jobs effectively and come home. "Fair winds and following seas", Sir. May God welcome you in His Heavenly Embrace!

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Allen, Texas. The Turrentine, Jackson, Morrow Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas will post full obituary information on their website. Donations may be made to the Allen Community Outreach Center, 801 E. GySgt Ramon Craig USMC (ret) - FRA Member 200 Died 20 October 2015. On October 20, 2015, Ramon Craig passed away at the age of 75, and he will be greatly missed. Butch was a retired Marine Corps GYSGT who served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a communications specialist/linguist and a proud member of Force Recon. He was our hero and was acknowledged as such with three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with "V." MSgt Michael G. Glauner USMC (ret), FRA Member 3198, died 13 Oct 2015. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar Base Chapel followed by the funeral service at 11:30 AM. Following the service Michael will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM with full military honors at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California.

Sgt George Loera, FRA member 2980, 1st Force Reconnaissance Company 1972-1973, died 23 AUG 2015. George was a man who attacked every day, grateful for the opportunity, never afraid to dole out some tough love. He pushed family and friends to be their best. He was a rock for his family and a world beater at the office.  Visitation Wednesday from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Funeral Service at the funeral home Thursday 10:00 A.M.. Interment with Military Honors Town of Maine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Semper Fi Fund 825 College Blvd. Suite 102 PMB 609. Oceanside, Ca. 92057.

GySgt Don Rosche USMC(ret), 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company, died 19 Jan 2015 of a heart attack.

Major Michael R. Lamb USMC(ret), FRA member 1373,1st Recon, 4th Recon and 5th Recon during the early 1960's, died 5 December 2014. Major Lamb was buried at Quantico National Cemetary on 16 December 2014 at 1400.

Force Recon Memorial
Col. Bruce Meyers USMC (ret) and SgtMaj Neal King USMC (ret) have designed a commemorative memorial monument to be placed in Semper Fi Park at the Marine Corp Museum. Donations are needed to help put the design to stone. Click the link above for more details.
